Today The REMF have granted £5,000 to Sutton Eagles FC.

The money will provide children with special needs, in Sutton and the surrounding area, an opportunity to play football and develop their social and physical skills; and in doing so, improve their confidence and self-esteem.

This donation also recognises the contribution from Crystal Palace fans supporting the REMF, making sure the money we raise also goes back to their community, as well as The Albion's

Without them, REMF wouldn't be as successful as it is today

Local youth football charity Robert Eaton Memorial Fund (REMF) will be presenting a cheque for more than £19,000 to Worthing United Youth FC this Sunday, October 11.

In memory of Matt Grimstone and Jacob Schilt, who died in the recent Shoreham Air Show disaster, REMF organised a charity walk from Shoreham to Worthing United FC last month. This money was pledged to Worthing United Youth FC.

Both Matt and Jacob's families have been invited on Sunday between 11.30am-12 noon to come and visit the Rotary and Hill Barn grounds to see where the money donated will be spent.

All Worthing United Youth FC's members and families plus anyone who took part in the sponsored walk are invited to come along to this event. There will probably some local media interest in the cheque presentation so there will be filming and photographs being taken. If any parent/guardian has any issues with this please inform your manager.

Brett Mendoza from the REMF charity said, "Worthing United Youth FC is a very worthy cause for this donation. Many hundreds of people attended the charity walk and raised money so we are pleased to be able to making this donation to the club."

Mark Sanderson, Chairman of Worthing United Youth FC, said, "This is an incredible amount of money raised by local people in memory of two Worthing United footballers. I would like to thank the REMF charity and everyone who has helped raise money in Matt and Jacob's names.

"Worthing United Youth FC has recently moved to its new home at the Rotary and Hill Barn recreation grounds in Worthing. This money will be wisely spent to make sure we offer our young footballers and coaches the best facilities and opportunities we can.

"This will involve improving the existing facilities we currently offer and the development of coaches and players at the club. We also have a long-term plan to build a new clubhouse on the site. This will be a long-lasting legacy for two local footballers."

Today The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund has topped up the generous donations to Jacobs REMF walk, by so many great people.

A further £2,500 has been added by us as recognition for the great work done by Jacob in his time with REMF.

This money, along with all the money donated generously by everyone else will go to Worthing United Youth Football Club.

They have recently been granted planning permission to build a training ground for their youth set up at the Rotary Grounds in Worthing.

Their new home will feature a total of ten football pitches of various sizes including 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 pitches to cater for all age groups from under 7s to under 18s.

All the money raised will go towards this project, helping to paying for goals, equipment, kit, pitch maintenance and eventually a new club house to ensure a healthy and safe environment for their kids to progress as footballers.

We would like to thank everyone for all your kind donations, support and interest in Jacob's REMF walk, it has escalated to a level we didn't think was possible, and has the potential to be something quite brilliant in such sad circumstances.

Jacobs REMF walk takes place on Saturday 12th September. For more information or to donate, please click here:

Saturday 12th September 2015. 10am.

The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund are hosting a sponsored walk in memory of Jacob Schilt, as well as the other victims who sadly lost their lives during the Shoreham Airshow disaster.

Jacob was part of our fundraising team at REMF, raising almost £1,000 by taking part in three REMF Challenge Matches against Crystal Palace.

The planned walk is approximately 4 miles long and will take participants from the Memorial footbridge in Shoreham, along the A27 foot path to Worthing United's ground in Lyons Farm. This will symbolise the journey that Jacob and Matthew (who he was travelling with) could sadly never finish.

The money raised by donations will be presented to Worthing United Youth Football Club from REMF to provide them with the funds to ensure their kids can develop their football in a healthy and safe environment.

We would like you to join the 2015 REMF squad, Jacobs family and friends and Brighton CEO Paul Barber for this walk and help celebrate a life that was ended way to soon.

The walk will start at 10am and will take approximately 2 hours to complete. We are encouraging participants to make it a colourful celebration of Jacobs life and would like everyone to wear colours/shirts of teams you support/play for, or colours/shirts you may have played football or cricket with Jacob.

Anyone who wishes to participate in the walk should register your interest by emailing REMF Vice Chairman, Brett Mendoza at
