The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund is delighted to announce a £3,750 donation to the CPFC Foundation in recognition of the fantastic support the charity has received from Crystal Palace fans.

Each year supporters of the Albion’s arch rivals head down to the Dripping Pan in Lewes for the annual challenge match and have played an integral part in helping the charity raise more than £125,000 since Robert’s tragic death.

And this year’s match, which took place last Friday, saw the largest ever contingent travel down from South London, including two former professionals, Palace match day mascot Pete the Eagle, the club’s cheerleaders and the team from Holmesdale Radio, who broadcast live from the fundraiser.

As a thank you for the continued support of Crystal Palace supporters, the REMF committee decided to hand over almost £4,000 to the CPFC Foundation, a group which does similar work to Brighton’s Albion in the Community.

Tony Langridge, REMF chairman, said, “We cannot thank Crystal Palace and their supporters enough for the help and support they have given us over the years – but hopefully this will go some way to showing how much we appreciate it.

“The REMF would not be possible without them and all those who have helped and donated to the REMF are a credit to Crystal Palace.”
